| It is high quality, processability and high cutting efficiency to the resin-bond of diamondcutting wheel, copper-tin alloy powders which has been widely used in material processes forthese advantages, as a kind of new packing used in resin-bonded diamond grinding wheel, canimprove the wheel hardness, strength, heat resistance, such as overall performance, so as toimprove grinding wheel’s grinding performance. The new filler in order to be able to makethe copper tin alloy used in the mass production, in this paper, the copper tin alloy fillingresin-bond diamond grinding wheel cutting properties were studied.The influence of cutting performance was discussed by using different cuttingtechnologies and manufacturing process of the resin-bonded diamond grinding wheel in tests.And Scanning Electron Microscope, Mechanics Performance Testing and cutting data wereused to analysis of the different cutting performance.Experimental results show that the loss of wheel was minimal and had the longestservice life for the model of1A1R D100T0.5H40E0.4X3.5, while the squeeze time anddwell time respectively were5.5h and11min and the pressure was set in1000kg. Anddifferent filled wheels using copper-tin alloy had different cutting performance. The lowerloss of wheel and surface roughness of component and the longer cycle life were shown,while the particle size of copper-tin alloy was approximate270/325(mesh); and the sameresult appeared while the filler reached15%or the tin dominated in alloy.The speed of wheel had little influence in workpieces of flare, however, the obviouslyinfluence to the flare was the speed of cutting. And the wheel of service life was shortenedwith the increased speed of wheel. Under the same cutting efficiency with different feed rate,the workpiece feeding speed faster, the higher service life of the grinding wheel and thesmaller cutting torque. In addition, the service life was influenced by the length of cutting arc.And the longer cutting arc, the higher cycle life. The state of the loading of a grinding wheelhad some relations with the speed of wheel and the workpiece feeding speed, and it hadindicated that the wheel worked better with faster speed of wheel and workpiece feedingspeed. The loaded wheel of the negative influence appeared, while the ring width was muchmore, and the cycle life was short. |
