Non-ferrous metals (here mainly refers to aluminum and aluminum alloy, copper andcopper alloy) special thin-walled tubes is widely used as the heat exchangers of motorvehicles, air-conditioner, motorcycle, engineering machinery, ships and other equipmentwith combustion engine-powered(For example, radiators, heaters, cooler, evaporator,condenser oil cooler), as an indispensable components of heat exchangers, its performancedirectly affects the performance of the heat exchangers, but also influences the performanceof the main engine. one of the most important factors that affects the service life ofaluminum radiators is the welding quality of thin-walled aluminum tubes, Once the tubesleaked, the radiator would be failure, and it is very difficult to repair the aluminum radiators,to Prolong the service life of radiator, one of the key technologies——"the welding Processand quality control technology of the thin-walled pipe mill is particularly important.Compared with the traditional welding technologies, high frequency weldingtechnology has an important position in the ferrous metals industry because itshigh-efficiency, high-quality, low cost and other technical features, and graduallywidespread in the non-ferrous industry and heat exchanger industry. in this paper, basic onthe mechanism of high frequency welding, especially the high-frequency induction welding,the high frequency welding technology and quality of special thin-walled aluminum tubesused in auto radiator are studied thoroughly. under the help that from the high frequencyinduction welding theory of ferrous metals, Through the study on how the main factors suchas the V-shaped angle, the edges of material to be welded, squeezing, weld pressure,welding coils, frequency of current, power of input, and welding process parameters affectthe welding quality, the paper gave the best welding parameters of the thin-walledaluminum tubes in high-frequency induction welding, as well as technical parameters, thegaps between forming rollers and the method how to select weld coils; besides, it alsocontained the kind of the weld defects and the reasons caused weld quality problems, andthrough the research on the methods of high-frequency induction welding technology ofthin-walled aluminum tubes, at last, give the main measures to control welding quality andto stable the manufacture.
