The general application of laser welding in automobile-building-industry, ship-building industry, plastics processing industry, aviation industry and etc. has made it a worth researching area and attracted an increasing number people to do research in this field. It is very difficult to measure the temperature field in the process of laser welding. In the actual production, people choose the laser technological parameter just according to their own experience or through trial. This method is not only ineffective but can cause a huge economic loss. With the development of computer science, computer technology can be used to do quantitative analyze of technological parameter in the process of laser welding. This article does a Finite Element Analysis of temperature filed in the process of laser welding.In this paper a temperature field in the process of laser welding can be found through a comprehensive analysis of the influence of laser welding on molten pool’s temperature field of the low-carbon steel, and the ANSYS software which used to get the numerical simulation of moving heat source. By using this result a reasonable choice of laser technological parameter can be made. Then its influence on the temperature field is discussed. This is of great significance and can provide a guide to laser welding in the actual production.In this paper, by using simulation method, laser power density and the influence of laser welding speed on the temperature of molten pool is simulated. The result shows that the temperature of molten pool is proportional to laser power density, and is inversely proportional to laser welding speed.
