In this dissertation, a porphyrin containing phthalonitrile (TCPP) was synthesized by the reaction of mono-hydroxyl porphyrin (THPP) and4-nitro-phthalonitrile. and then metalloporphyrin containing phthalonitrile (M-TCPP) was prepared through the metalization of TCPP. Hollow phthalocyanine-porphyrin conjugates and metal phthalocyanine-porphyrin conjugates were synthesized by the reaction of the precursor (TCPP or M-TCPP) and4-[4-(1-Methyl-l-phenyl-ethyl)-phenoxy]-phthalonitrile through the method of asymmetric cross-condensation directly. The synthesized products were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet-visible absorption spectrum(UV-Vis), proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR). It is found from the UV-Vis that the hollow phthalocyanine-porphyrin conjugates have six absorption peaks in Q-band, while metal phthalocyanine-porphyrin conjugates reduced to three compared to hollow conjugates. The molecule fluorescence spectra (MFS) of the products revealed that the energy transfer from porphyrin to phthalocyanine in the bonded molecular. The third-order nonlinear optical properties of the prepared samples were tested by the method of Z-scan. We used the frequency-doubled Q switched Nd:YAG laser system with ps laser pulse to study those synthesized products in the condition of532nm light excitation and21ps pulses. By simulate and calculate the experimental data of Z-scan, we found that in the six synthesized conjugates, the moleculars of Zn-TCPP-Pc and Zn-TCPP-Pc-TCPP show relatively large value of third order nonlinear susceptibility, and the value were9.26×10-13esu and8.46×10-13esu, respectively.
