Along with our country’s science and technology rapid development, the diamond crystal began to be applied in more and more areas, but China’s diamond industry is still in the initial stage, cannot completely meet the need of domestic and international on high grade diamond requirements, in the premise, we carried out the research adding halide (mainly iron fluoride) to growth industrial diamond with single crystal.Controlling the content of iron fluoride additives, we find in the iron nickel catalyst system, industrial diamond single crystal’s nucleation and growth is retrained, at the same time, the different shape diamond growth interval is changed, and the concrete is medium temperature interval widened, and high temperature interval narrow, this is good for high quality diamond growth. In nickel manganese cobalt catalyst system, iron fluoride on the influence of industrial diamond crystal is similar with iron nickel catalyst, both growing out of the high index crystal crystal, and crystal surface has different degree of pit or polycrystalline phenomenon, it is helpful to improve the diamond products holding force, let diamond products more durable. In a word, add fluoride, crystal growth and morphology are changed, and some of these changes is just needed in growing industrial diamond.
