Mining, dressing, smelting, tailings dumps and coal fly ash have become the main factors ofsoil arsenic pollution in mining areas, and potentially caused the ecological environment aroundthe mines serious hazard. This paper takes a mining area of Inner Mongolia for example, andcollects mine soil samples to analyse the basic physical and chemical properties of the localsoil.Based on the pot experiment,it aims to prove arsenic contamination characteristics of themine soil,as well as the absorption patience characteristics of plants to As.And the ultimate goalis to filter out arsenic-tolerant plants suited to local climatic conditions and soilconditions.Through the the system sampling and analysis in the study area and pot experiment, itdraws the following conclusions:The most value of study area soil arsenic content is out of three nationalstandards, particularly waste dump surrounding soil arsenic contamination is the mostserious, natural topsoil arsenic pollution is relatively light, which is far away from the the wastedump.Maximum arsenic level reach20.2mg/kg. With the increase in the concentration of arseniccontamination, plant height, leaf area and dry mass show a downward trend, and the inhibitoryeffect is significant.Arsenic in coal has an important influence on plant growth and development.Relationship between plants arsenic content and soil arsenic content is more complex, butthe plants arsenic accumulation increases with the increase of the concentration of arseniccontamination, and artemisia capillaris, setaria, lvzhu quinoa,Artemisia annua show strongresistance to arsenic. And it found Setaria meet the arsenic enrichment plant requirements, whichcan be used to mine arsenic pollution prevention.Setaria, euphorbia maculata, brome, tarragon, artemisia annua, amaranth and green beadquinoa which are in the mine natural topsoil, arsenic TF value basically less than1,and onlySetaria and sedge TF value is close to1.It indicates that the two plants show strongcapacity, which can transfer arsenic from the roots to the shoots. In waste dump surroundingsoil,Setaria, artemisia capillaris, small canadensis, vetch arsenic TF basically less than1,and onlySetaria TF value is close to1.There is significant differences in the different plant tolerance Capability and Mechanism ofarsenic, and setaria belongs enrichment type plant that can absorb arsenic proactively from thesoil, while plant shoot arsenic content is almost equal to the roots;artemisia capillaris, smallcanadensis, lvzhu quinoa belong to indicate type plant with the passive arsenic absorptioncapacity, that can absorb arsenic to the body, but a large number of arsenic accumulate inroots, and only a small amount can transfer to shoot migration. It can reduce damage of photosynthesis, respiration, reproductivesyste;euphorbiamaculata, brome,Artemisiaannua, amaranth, wild peas belong to circumvent type plant, whose roots can resist the absorption of arsenic, andthey can make some chemical forms of arsenic precipitation in the root surface. And onlysmallamount can be absorbed into the body.
