At present, the coal production enterprises security situation of China is moreserious, The safety has become one of the outstanding problems that restricting thedevelopment of the coal industry. It put forward higher requirements for the safety workof the coal mine. To enhance the safety monitoring of the coal mine production, thispaper presents a method of coal mine safety monitoring system based on data fusion.Factors like underground gas concentration, oxygen concentration, temperature, airvolume are the main factors that effect coal mine safety. This paper uses the method ofmulti-sensors data fusion and site monitoring data to judge the type of the mine disaster.This paper uses two level fusion method, local convergence and global convergence, tofuse the multi-sensors data in coal mine. To fuse the data which are from a plurality ofthe same kind of sensors, this paper uses a algorithm which combines the arithmeticmean of multi sensors and batch estimation. And the D-S evidence reasoning methodwas used as the global fusion algorithm.The hardware design of the system is mainly about intelligent substation. Thissystem use ARM and51microprocessors as the dual core processor. The systemincludes data acquisition, CAN-bus interface, reserve power supply and powermanagement. The underground disaster type is judged by fusing the data of gasconcentration, temperature, air flow and others. When the parameters exceed thestandard, the substation will send the risk information to the host computer in a shorttime through the CAN-bus. Then the host computer will process the information rapidlyand guide for corresponding movement to the underground, to avoid the danger.The software is mainly about the design of modules of the working flow chat and it’sworking process. Computer monitoring software is implemented by VB6.0. The operator can setthe parameters, view the gas concentration, temperature and other parameters through thehuman-machine interface, as well as the fusion results. The underground equipments also can becontrolled by this software.
