| Antimicrobial activity of natural products is a hotspot in the research of natural products, In this paper, we choose Artemsiae argyi and Perilla which widely planted in China, extract main antibacterial ingredients showing that flavonoids are mainly by analysis and identification. And we evaluate the natural product antibacterial capability by measuring the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), inhibition zone, growth curve. Experiments show that the MIC of Artemisiae argyi flavonoids to Escherichia coli is3.35mg/ml,to Staphylococcus aureus is3.35mg/ml, to Soil rhizobia is4.31mg/ml, to Candida albicans is4.31mg/ml, and the MIC of Perilla flavonoids to Escherichia coli is3.75mg/ml,to Staphylococcus aureus is3.75mg/ml, to Soil rhizobia is4.22mg/ml,to Candida albicans is4.22mg/ml. The natural antibacterial substances was applied to the denture cleaning agents. It can effectively inhibit oral bacteria left in the denture while cleaning it. This paper finally determines the formulation of the denture cleaning agents by the extracts of Artemisiae argyi and Perilla,12alkyl benzene sulfonic acid, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, papain, EDTA and CMC.Content of the organic carbon in formulation reaches12.4%, inorganic salt84.4%and the organic nitrogen0.321%.It also proved that the formulation is more effective in antimicrobial and cleaning than deionized water and similar products in sell by comparing experiment. The stability of the products in antimicrobial effect is also good proved by high temperature,strong light and accelerated experiments. The reseach develops and expands new directions for the formulations consisting of denture cleaning agents. |
