Rare earth Complexes/Polymer composite material is a kind of broad applicationprospects of emerging Inorganic/polymer materials. The rare earth own unique chemicalnature and physical properties, as well as achievements in the field of optics, and more andmore people are concerned about.The two kinds of rare earth complexes were prepared. A series of Ce3+(La3+) complexesof p-phthalic acid and phen were synthesized respectively. A series of La3+complexes oflanthanum hydroxide with a different ratio of acid were synthesized by melt prepared.In this study, the rare earth complexes would be subject to added to the PP simple dopingmethods, for the modified polypropylene blend. Then they were applied to polypropyleneblending modification, and the ration of blending are2%-6%. Aggregately, some blendsproperties were studied, such as optical properties, rheological properties, conglomerationstructure, as well as polypropylene fiber chromaticity and mechanical properties.The experimental results showed that the blend systems were all non-Newtonianshear-thinning fluid, the apparent viscosity dropped with the shear rate increasing. Thenon-Newtonian index and the shear rate of the blend increased when increasing REcomplexes content, which indicated the rheological properties were improved. The viscousflow activity energy ascend to58.60KJ/mol and56.85KJ/mol by the two rare earth complexes,and the temperature dependence of viscosity increased with rare earth complexes contentincreasing. Furthermore, the rare earth complexes by adding improved polypropylene fiberdyeing and the dyeing rate ascend to70%. And rare earth complexes/polymer compositematerials in the fluorescence properties have significant performance. They can be applied tooptical conversion film, biological fluorescence probe and DNA molecules such as trackingelements, and have a broad application prospects.
