With both the introduction of new equipment and the technology in the field of industrial automation and the mature of the computer technology application, china’s traditional industrial automation system (that is. the basic automation and process automation)has been far from adequate to meet the need of modern industrial automation production, the traditional vinyl acetate control system is in urgent need of upgrading. Therefore, the research and development of the functional control system will have broad prospect of application and reference value, which has a reliable performance and a higher degree of automation.In this paper, Based on the actual situation of user site, the article describes the production process of vinyl acetate and the overall framework of automatic control system; Proposed the DCS control scheme based on ECS-700system, the design of the industrial Ethernet and field bus, controllers, I/O processing module, computer and configuration software as the core of the DCS control system, and according to the central control room, process control, field control station three layer structure mode has carried on the system configuration and structure design and to improve its control circuit and interlocking schemes to realize automatic control of vinyl acetate based on DCS platform. Thesis completed the following tasks:Firstly, the paper gives detail analysis of hardware and software requirements of vinyl acetate production automatic control system, and describes hardware structure of Vinyl acetate production automatic control system, Hardware structure is mainly composed of man-machine interface, field control station, system network. Secondly, based on the system’s security and stability considerations, the hardware configuration has a lot of redundant configuration. Thirdly, for the design of the control system software structure, mainly includes the engineering design of configuration software, monitoring configuration software and server software design. Fourthly, this paper analysis of the overall control scheme of the current control system, and introduce the typical control loop and the important linkage control scheme, the defects of control scheme are analyzed in detail and to improve it, and analysis the improved control system performance theoretically. Finally, this paper gives the running data of the control system, system debugging record and actual production data, the data improved that the performance of the system is greatly increased, further illustrates the rationality and correctness of the improved system.
