With the rapid development of computer technology, the combination of mathematical model and computer has become an important research direction in the field of minerals processing. The biggest advantage of flotation mathematical model is to predict the changing trend of flotation indexes, take measures timely, and make the sorting in the best state as far as possible.Many factors combined affect the flotation speed of minerals in the flotation process, and the flotation speed affect the quality of the concentrates, thereinto, the recovery-yield curve is the basic curve, the actual flotation process occurs in the part of the recovery-yield curve, and it has little affects by the flotation factors, the concentrates indexes fluctuate along the recovery-yield curve. For the single useful minerals, the flotation speed of monomeric useful minerals-intergrowth-gangue minerals is the same with the grade of minerals. A flotation indexes prediction model is constructed basing on the mineral’s actual separation of the unit grade curve, through the comparison of several commonly used separation models, and the flotation data of nine mines, including sphalerite ore of Wenshan Dulong, copper ore of Liwu, titanium iron ore of Panzhihua and so on, the results show that the normal distribution model fits well.This flotation indexes prediction model is applied to a flotation process of iron ore in Anhui, using three sets of experimental data to determine the two parameters of the normal distribution model, it can predict the flotation indexes of the iron ore accurately, and has a certain practical value. In the meanwhile, this model offers a measure for the evaluation standard of different recovery indexes under different grade. According to the model, a real-time monitoring platform is constructed to reflect the fluctuation of the flotation indexes, and predict the future indexes of concentrates. It’s advantage to the quality of the concentrate indexes in production, and also lays the foundation for the future development of the intelligent prediction platform.Constructed by the normal distribution model, the flotation indexes prediction model accords with the objective law of the flotation process, and verifies the applicability and effectiveness in the flotation process. There are thiry-nine figures, nineteen tables, and one hundred and eleven references in this paper.
