The press-fitting mechanical connector is used to lay and repair the oil pipeline, which isa simple in structure, is fast in connection, and is non-welded pipe connector. Oil pipeline ismajor equipment in oil transportation, and whose reliable work is related to oil production andeconomic benefits directly. As the working environment of oil pipeline is poor, the failure rateof connector is also increasing with the increase of years. The research of reliable sealingpress-fitting mechanical connectors is particularly important.The article mainly researches the influencing factors of sealing performance aboutpress-fitting mechanical connector and the structural optimization of connected tool. First,analyzing that metal flow is the microscopic phenomenon of metal contact seal, researchingexternal factors and internal factors of the formation of the metal flow, the ability of the metalstatic seals is improved by changing the structure form of the metal interior crystal andreduced the content of alloying elements, which decrease the resistance of metal flow andimprove the ability of metal static sealing. Second, as the outer diameter of the pipe andconnector is changed by the pressure changes of conveying medium and change of tiny sizeaffects the contact pressure of the sealing surface. ANSYS numerical analysis modulesimulates the relationship between pressure change and sealing, by which the materialproperties of the contact surface are changed and the sealing capability is improved, Studieshave shown that the internal pressure of the media and reducing the metal material yieldstrength of contact surface can be improved performance of the metal flow and increaseaverage value of the contact surface pressure. Finally, the design vibration experiment of theconnector solves modal and harmonic characteristics of pipe and connector, and verifies theability that the connectors resist vibration.Finally, cylinder of connected tool is designed by topology optimization methods, whichreduces the quality of the connected tool. The body material of initial design the connectedtool is42CrMo, which volume is large. The safety factor is higher, and the maximum stress ismuch smaller than the material allowable yield strength. First, the cylinder material isreplaced with the aluminum alloy, the quality of the connected tool is Significantly reduced;Second, the four main hydraulic cylinders are increased to eight hydraulic cylinders, whichcan make structure of connected tool compacted and mass lighten; Finally, cylinder shape is optimized by the topology optimization methods, which removes the excess material andfurther reduces the quality of the connected tool. The mass reduction of optimized connectedtool is very obvious.
