Microporous molecular sieves with highly hydrothermal and thermal stabilities as well as other properties, are extensively used as ion-exchangeable materials, adsorbents, catalysts, supporters and so on. With the development of industry, a series of functionalized microporous molecular sieves have been synthesized. Organic-functionalized hybrid porous materials have been synthesized with organic groups and inorganic framewoks, which exhibits highly catalytic activity and shape selectivity. In this work, methylene-functionalized molecular sieve have been synthesized by using bis(trieth-oxysilyl)methane as organic silicon source.Based on experimental research, methylene-SAPO-5molecular sieve have been synthesized in hydrothermal system. The hydrolysis of organic silicate is important for synthesizing the methylene-functionalized SAPO-5molecular sieve, which is synthesized by changing the reaction conditions, including the hydrolysis system, the pH value of reaction system, and silicon source, etc.The syntheses of methylene-functionalized SAPO-5molecular sieve, which is troubled in hydrothermal system. More importantly, it is almost an impossible mission to remove the organic template. So a series of methylene-functionalized molecular sieves are synthesized by dry gel conversion. The mole ratio of H2O/Si is important for synthesizing. They are synthesized by changing the reaction conditions, including the mole ratio of H2O/Si, silicon source, etc. Various techniques, including FT-IR and NMR prove that methylene groups have been successfully introduced into the frameworks of microporous Mordenite molecular sieve. The methylene-functionalized molecular sieves are used in acid catalytic and epoxidation of alkenes reactions, comparing with the inorganic Mordenite sieves.
