Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a kind of wide band-gap semiconductor material, it hasa excellent photocatalytic performance. The interior valence band electrons absorbphoton and jump to the conduction band, resulting in a hole-electron pair, under thecondition of illumination. The oxygen in the air can be reducted by electrons, theorganic pollutants can be adsorbed and decomposed into CO2, H2Oand small inorganicmolecules completely by holes.Comparing with the degradation efficiency on methyl orange of the photocatalyst,which prepared through hydrolysis dispersion method and sol-gel method, to select thecoating liquor for self-cleaning glass. Prepare self-cleaning glass by dip-coating method,explore the the best processing technology of nano photocatalyst made throughhydrolysis dispersion method, carry on the structure characterization of self-regulatingTiO2. Discuss the effect between different preparation conditions on the physicalproperties and light catalytic properties of self-cleaning glass, and determine the superhydrophilic and antibacterial performance of self-cleaning glass. The results are asfollows:(1) The best prepration technology of nano photocatalyst: the content of TiO2is0.90%, the calcination temperature of TiO2is300℃, the calcination time of TiO2is4h, pH of the photocatalyst is3.0. the degradation rate of self-cleaning glass reached58.5%on20mg/L methyl orange at24hours.(2) The best preparation technology of self-cleanng glass: The drying temperaturewas60℃, the drying time is8min, the drawdown speed is0.5mm/s. when theillumination time is24h, the coating layers is10, the degradation rate of methyl orangereached59.4%on20mg/L methyl orange.(3) The contact angle of self-cleaning glass is equal to or less than2.5°, whenthe layer number of films is3or more, the hydrophily is all excellent. In addition, theantibacterial efficiency reached97.6%.The self-cleaning glass, which can be producted simplely, controled easyly, and the raw material composition for product it is less and cheap, energy consumption duringthe production process is less, but the self-cleaning glass has a high removal efficiency,hydrophily and antibacterial ratio, it is a kind of environmental friendly materials. Inthis paper, in addition to investigate the performance of all kinds of self-cleaning glasses,the self-regulating TiO2was analysised and characterizated by the X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy (SEM) and Ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy(UV-Vis) spectrum scanning, then analyze all the above test results.
