Low calorie sugar free product is fast becoming an important market, as low calorie sweetener erythritol is increasingly accepted by the market. Erythritol is a kind of low calorie sugar alcohol, the calorific value of only0.2calories per gram, only ordinary sugar5%, it is not easy to be degraded by enzymes, not involved in glucose metabolism and blood glucose changes, very suitable for consumption by diabetic patients; erythritol anti-dental caries function significantly, to protect the oral health has a very positive role; erythritol is also widely used in the food processing industry, can better keep food flavor, but also effectively prevent food spoilage.The traditional preparation of erythritol method with glucose as raw material, produced by microbial fermentation, which have a long fermentation time, easy to be contaminated and other problems, especially in the summer, if the conditions of fermentation control is not good, it may cause the whole tank of liquid glucose contamination, production does not come out of erythritol products, to the enterprise caused great waste. The project to sodium gluconate as raw material, through chemical oxidation method, the sodium gluconate into sugar, and then through the hydrogenation preparing erythritol, after pre concentration salt, decolorization, ion exchange, concentrating, crystallizing to obtain crystal sugar alcohol products. According to the process for producing erythritol products, short time, low cost, good product quality, and has good economic benefits and social significance.
