Metal-organic coordination polymers based on carboxylate ligands have diverse structure and exhibits attractive application prospect in the fields of optical materials, magnetic materials, superconductor materials, catalytic and biological activity. Which have attracted considerable attention. In this manuscipt, we chose contaning carboxylic group ligands and synthesized a series of1D、2D and3D coordination polymers by hydrothermal synthetic and solution methods. They are shown as following:{Zn(bptc)0.5}n (1){[Cd2(bptc)(H2O)3]·H2O}n (2){[Cd2(bptc)(H2O)3]·H2O}n (3){[Ag4(bptc)]}n (4){[Zn2(bptc)·1.5bipy·H2O]·H2O}n (5){[Cd2(bptc)(bpp)·H2O]·3H2O}n (6){[Zn(L1)2]}n (7){[Cd(L1)2]}n (8){[Pb(L2)2]·4H2O}n (9){[Cu2L3(bpp)(H2O)(OH)]}n (10){[ZnL2(bpp)3]}n (11)The polymers were characterized by elemental analysis, IR. The crystal structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction method. According to the structural analysis results, the complexes (1)-(6) exhibited3D networks structures, the complexes (7)、(8)、(9) showed2D layered structures, and complexes (10)、(11) exhibited1D laddered structures. In addition, luminescence properties were studied for some complexes, the results showed the complexes displayed great photoluminescence property and suited for excellent candidates for potential photoactive materials. Moreover, the interaction between the ligand, eleven complexes and DNA had also been carried out by employing EB fluorescent probe method, the results exhibited the tested complexes exhibited stronger intensity than the ligands.
