In this paper, the polypropyl carbonate polyol (PPC) and isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI) were used as raw material to react with dimethylolpropionic acid (DMPA) and1,4-butanediol (BDO) both used as hydrophilic monomer to prepare water-bornepolyurethane (WPU) prepolymer which was grafted with amino silicone oil (AEAPS)to obtain a kind of polyurethane and amino silicone oil copolymer emulsion. Thiscopolymer emulsion which could be applied to cashmere knit fabric to improve itspilling resistance is an eco-friendly and easy to apply water-borne polyurethaneproduct with excellent properties and low cost.First of all, the effect of polyol kinds on the stability and viscosity of WPUemulsion and water absorption, contact angle, water vapor permeability, rigidity andadhesive force of WPU film were researched by adopting polytetramethylene etherglycol (PTMEG), polyester diol (PED) and PPC as raw material. It was found that theWPU prepared by PPC possessed better complex reliabilities for it not only containedgood rigidity and water resistance like polyester waterborne polyurethane, but alsopossessed good flexibility and extensibility like polyether waterborne polyurethane.The PPC contained aliphatic alkylidene and repeating unit of carbonate based.Also, the effect was studied, of R value(the mole ratio between NCO and reactivehydrogen, DMPA dosage and the amount of AEAPS on the stability of WPU emulsion,water absorption, water vapor permeability, rigidity and adhesive force of WPU film.It were found that with the increase of R value, the stability and the viscosity of WPUemulsion increased earlier and decreased later. The increase of DMPA dosage couldpromote not only the stability and the viscosity of WPU emulsion but also the waterabsorption, the rigidity and the adhesive force of WPU film, while reduced the watervapor permeability of WPU film. The viscosity of WPU emulsion, the water vaporpermeability, the rigidity and the adhesive force of WPU film increased while thestability of WPU emulsion and the water absorption of WPU film decreased when theamount of amino silicone oil increased.Besides, contact Fourier infrared spectrum instrument, Atomic Force Microscope,X-ray diffraction instrument and TG analysis instrument were used to characterize and analyse the properties and structures of WPU film. It could turn out that aminosilicone oil had been successfully inserted into the backbone structure of WPU fromthe infrared spectrum. The Atomic Force Microscope analysis had revealed that themicrophase separation degree increased with the increase of amino silicone oilamount. From the TG analysis it could be seen that the thermolysis property waspromoted with the increase of amino silicone oil amount. From the x-rayphotoelectron analysis it could be seen that the polysiloxane chain segment hadenrichment phenomenon on surface of adhesive film of polyurethane and aminosilicone oil copolymer.At last, the optimal finishing process, the synthesis of amino silicone copolymeremulsion of polyurethane finishing to cashmere knitted fabric. The influences offinishing agent, finishing solution pH value, finishing time and temperature wereresearched in order to study the finishing process conditions of the modified aqueouspolyurethane finishing agent for cashmere knitted fabric systematically. The results ofthe study showed that: finishing agent was2%(o.w.f.), pH value was about6~7,finishing solution temperature was about50℃and finishing time was30min,then the cashmere knitted fabric could achieve excellent anti-pilling effect. The WPUemulsion was applied to finishing cashmere knit fabric and the pilling resistanceability and the feeling were investigated compared with the pilling resistance agentbought in markets. It was found that there was a significant improvement about thepilling resistance ability and the feeling of cashmere knit fabric finished with thehome-made amino silicone oil polyurethane copolymer emulsion, and it had a betterfinishing effect compared with the finishing agent bought in markets.
