Laminated metal composites material is a new type of metal composite materials. It’smade of two or more different physical and chemical properties sheet metal through thecomposite technology.With the excellent properties of each component it can improve theshort coming of many traditional materials, which broadens the application prospect inaerospace field and national defence.In this paper,1060/3003/1060aluminum laminated composites were fabricatedthrough hot roll bonding process. The effects of rolling temperature and rolling reductionon mechanical properties, bonding mechanism, microstructure and texture have beeninvestigated by optical microscope, scanning electronic microscope, electronic testingmachine, X-ray diffraction etc..The optimum process is found by analyzing bondingstrength and tensile strength of composite plates with different rolling temperatures androlling reduction.The results show that: the critical deformation of Al/Al composites can besignificantly reduced by hot rolling technology, at450℃, it can be bonded with at least28%reduction, and have good bonding properties after37%reduction; at45%deformation, with the increase of rolling temperature the bonding strength is enhanced,and have good bonding properties between350℃and550℃. With the decrease of rollingtemperature the tensile strength is enhanced, while the elongation is decreased,and it willremain at around6.5%when the rolling temperature is less than300℃. With the increaseof rolling deformation, the tensile strength is enhanced, and reached the maximum whenthe deformation reaches54%. There is no recrystallization in the process of hot rolling;the grain of3003layer to be stretched along the rolling direction, while there is an anglebetween the grain of1060layer and the rolling direction, and with the increase of rollingdeformation, the angle is enhanced. Rolling temperature has a little influence on thetexture types of each layer, but a great influence on the texture orientation strength.Rolling deformation has a little influence on the texture types of1060layer, but a greatinfluence on the texture orientation strength, at a low deformation, the strength of cube isdecreased from the surface to the center layer, while the R-cube almost has no change; at a high deformation, the strength is increased from the surface to the center layer, both ofcube and R-cube. Rolling deformation has a great influence on the texture types andorientation strength of3003layer. With the rolling deformation increasing, cubedisappeared, the strength of {012}<021> is decreased,while the texture with theorientation of {011}<655> is appeared, and has a trend to transform to β-fiber.
