With the rapid development of national economy, large diameter aluminum alloythin-walled tubes has been widely used, at the same time, the customer has become strictto the requirement of the quality of pipe. Straightening, as the last procedure in the process,has a crucial influence on the quality of pipes. The straightening of thin-walled tubes,however, has its unique nature and high difficulty, it is important to set up a set of properstraightening theory and process parameters theory. Therefore, choosing the research ofthe technological parameters of aluminum alloy thin-walled tube in straightening processas the research subject, setting up the ten roll straightening model of skew rollerstraightening machine, and carring out numerical simulation on the straightening processand summarizing the parameters, which is applied in practical production, thusimproveing the quality of straightening and production efficiency.This paper analysised the deformation, bending moment and the distribution of stressin the process of straightening with the existing elastic-plastic theory, combined with theexisting straightening theory, and determined the reasonable structure parameters of thestraightening machine (roller spacing, roller type curve and straightening roll Angle, etc.),and established the ten roller skew roller straightening model.Simulating the model of200mm diameter, wall thickness of2mm,1.5mm and2.5mm of aluminum alloy thin-walled tubes in many different flattening as well as thebending by making full use of the Abaqus finite element analysis method. And the paperanalyzed the effectiveness of the simulation results, including the ovality, straightness,residual stress, strain, etc. Summarized the optimal amount of crushed and bendingparameters for straightening, and calculated the formula of the process parameters.Through the numerical simulation for the wall thickness of2mm,150mm and175mm diameter pipes by using Abaqus finite element software, the paper validated thecorrectness of the calculation formula of the process parameters, and determined theapplicable range of the formula, and provided a theoretical basis for thin-walled tubestraightening area effectively.
