Injection molding production is an important part of manufacturing sector, whichfaces more severe challenges in modern global competitive conditions. To survive anddevelop, enterprises must improve their efficiency of production and management sothat they could resist the press coming from market、products and competitors. Thedevelopment of information technology provides a viable solution for the efficientproduction management. Workshop scheduling optimization is not only the coretechnology of advanced manufacturing and modern management, but also the key factorthat affects the efficiency of manufacturing. Therefore, it is of great significance to build apractical, efficient and flexible production scheduling system for injection moldingenterprises. This paper researches and summarizes the characteristics of the injectionmolding production, especially the workshop production scheduling,studies a optimizationtechnology for injection molding scheduling, and on this basis, achieves a injectionproduction scheduling system.Using UML modeling tools, this paper conducts a needs analysis and modeling forthe injection molding production. Summarizes the process of injection productionscheduling, and creates a demand model for order management, equipment management,process design and scheduling business module. Makes domain modeling and use-casemodeling to express the system functions,does the data flow analysis and database designto establish the system.On the basis of the research for several injection molding enterprises, combiningactual production, the paper builds a mathematical model which has process constraints,equipment constraints and volume constraints, for the injection molding productionscheduling. Combining advantages of ant colony algorithm and genetic algorithm,proposes a injection production scheduling algorithm on the base of hybrid antcolony-genetic algorithm, which has been demonstrated using simulation methods for aspecific instance.Finally, choosing a suitable software architecture, the above scheduling techniques is derived to achieve a injection production scheduling system, and use a complete injectionprocess to detail the implementation of the various module interface of the system.
