Sulfonated castor oil has not only the good permeability, wettability, but also hashigh temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance and good biodegradability. Soit has been widely applied in the field of textile auxiliaries to improve the softness,smoothness and levelness and antistatic property of the textile fiber and make thefiber soft and elastic. Polyoxyethylene castor oil is an important component of textileauxiliaries and chemical fiber oil agent because of its strong emulsification, dispersionand antistatic properties. It can improve the smoothness and amplexus of the fiber andmake the fiber with better antistatic property and softer handle. In this paper, thesulfonated castor oil or polyoxyethylene castor oil and their compounds were used incocoon cooking and silk reeling process to study the application effect and processwhen they were used as cocoon cooking auxiliaries. The reeling tests were practicedin the silk mill for the further verification of the validity of their reeling cocooncooking effect. The mechanical properties and crystal structures of raw silk werestudied by XRD and FT-IR, when composited auxiliaries were addied before and after.The main results were as follows:1. Based on the technology conditions as follows: vacuum permeating pressure0.096Mpa, vacuum permeating temperature35℃, cocoon cooking temperature100℃(bath ratio1:50), middle adjustment segment temperature80℃(bath ratio1:40),static water segment temperature60℃(1min), export-section50℃(1min), reelingsolution temperature40℃, according to the results of the single factor experiment andorthogonal experiment, we could get the optimum cocoon-cooking technologicalconditions for sulfonated castor oil (70%,w/w) were: vacuum permeating time6min,cocoon-cooking time4.5min, sulfonated castor oil0.15%(v/v), used in the vacuuminfiltration part. Compared with the control experiment, the results showed thatreelability percentage increased by6.6%, silk yeilding increased by1.91%.2. Based on the technology conditions as follows: vacuum permeating pressure0.096Mpa, vacuum permeating temperature40℃, vacuum permeating time5min,cocoon cooking temperature100℃(bath ratio1:50), cocoon cooking time3min,static water segment temperature62℃(1min), export-section50℃(1min), reelingsolution temperature40℃, according to the results of the single factor experiment andorthogonal experiment, we could get the optimum cocoon-cooking technologicalconditions for polyoxythyethlene castor oil used in middle adjustment segment were:polyoxythyethlene castor oil0.08%(v/v), adjusting time2.5min, temperature80℃,bath ratio1:45. Compared with the control experiment, the results showed thatreelability percentage increased by7.15%, silk yeilding increased by1.53%.3. It was obtained that Surface Tensions of mixture of sulfonated castor oil and polyoxythyethlene castor oil can reach lowest when the mass ratio is4%(polyoxythyethlene castor oil/sulfonated castor oil) by the relationship between thelogarithm of mass ratio and surface tension of mixture. Accordingly, multiple matchesadditives are made up as stoicheimetric ratio that sulfonated castor oil was60.98%,polyoxythyethlene castor oil was2.44%and others are water. The optimumcocoon-cooking technological conditions for polyoxythyethlene castor oil used invacuum permeating part were: composited auxiliaries0.12%(v/v), temperature36℃,time3min. Compared with the control experiment, the results showed that reelabilitypercentage increased by9.30%, silk yeilding increased by1.39%.4. The results of practical reeling tests showed that: average raw silkclassification could be improved when sulfonated castor oil, polyoxythyethlene castoroil or composited auxiliaries were added in the cocoon-cooking process. After addingcomposited auxiliaries, the tensile strength and cohesion of silk could be better.Andcomposited auxiliaries were no significant effect on raw silk structures which werecharacterized by X-ray Diffraction and FT-IR.The research results prove that sulfonated castor oil, polyoxythyethlene castor oilor composited auxiliaries can improve silk reeling results and will not result innegative influence on raw silk quality. It will be helpful for the application andpopularization of castor oil fatty acid derivatives in the field of cocoon-cookingauxiliaries. |
