Hydraulic wrench pump is the power source of the hydraulic wrench to tighten the bolts.Its output pressure accuracy directly affects the quality of the coupling bolt. Currently thehydraulic wrench pumps’ pressure is mainly controlled by relief valve control and usesmechanical pressure gauge to measure pressure on the market. This method has large errorand low control accuracy. In order to improve the hydraulic wrench precise control of preloadand preload, this article designs the hydraulic wrench pump controller based on ARM andLinux operating systems, and discusses the design and development process in detail.The controller uses the S3C2440microprocessor and Linux embedded real-timeoperating system as the hardware and software development platform to design and developwhich on the basis of in-depth study of a particular model a hydraulic wrench, summaries upthe problems in the course of usage and combined with the development in the world.Selecting a specific electronic components on hardware for the controller whichcomprehensives consideration of factors such as system requirements, reliability, interfacesconvenience. Analysing and transplanting BootLoader and Linux kernel of the S3C2440processor on the software. And then writing each module drivers and system applications. Thecontroller system has a lot of advantage such as a strong real-time ability, easy functionalityexpansion, system stability, to adapt to the environment ability. Compared with the originalcontroller, the controller achieves the function of the automatic hydraulic wrench tighteningand loosening bolts, uses LCD touch screen and graphical user interface to facilitatehuman-computer interaction. In addition, analysing the pressure control system detaily.Establishing the mathematical model of the pump system, determining the accurate output ofthe PID controller controls the adjusting method, and design the corresponding controlprogram to ensure that the pressure.Experimental tests showed that the hydraulic wrench pump controller meet the design requirements, it is possible to achieve precise control of automatic the elastic bolt action andpressure.
