Rotary table is an important component of CXK5463type CNC turning-millingmachining center special for large water chamber head processing. Its performance has bigimpact on processing quality. Because the size of the rotary table structure is too big to liftand transport, so its body is been divided into two parts and connected by bolt. And thusits performance must be poorer than entirely made structure. To improve its performance,guarantee the precision, in this dissertation, the performance of the rotary table structure isanalyzed by FEM, and the structure of the rotary table has been optimized.In this dissertation, split rotary table structure improve measures is been presentedbased on the combination surface structure characteristic and result of FEM. in addition,conducted weight reduction design for rotary table structure.Main contents of this dissertation are shown as follows:(1)Established FEM model of the rotary table structure Based on the structurecharacteristic, working principle, working condition and assembly relationship of eachpart, finished static stiffness and modal analysis, obtained the stiffness, equivalent stressand inherent frequency of the rotary table structure, laid the foundation for structureimprove design process.(2)Based on the FEM result of the rotary table structure, confirmed the main reasonof the poor dynamic performance of the split rotary table structure, and then presentedimprove measures. First analyzed the effectiveness of the measures in theory, and thenconsidered cast craft, guaranteed process and assemble feasibility, finally the effectivenessof the design scheme is confirmed by FEM.(3)Because the whole structure of the rotary table structure is complex and big,material distribution isn’t good enough, aimed at reduce its weight, using topologyoptimization method, optimized the rotary table which structure has been improved,obtained optimized structure, reduced the manufacture cost, the optimization work iseffective.
