As our country carrying on strengthening governance to key river valleys and creating agood condition for development of Social, environmental, and economic, The stateenvironmental protection department formulated a new 《Urban sewage treatment plantpollutant discharge standard》(GB18918-2002)specifically. Because of most sewagetreatment plants which are above the county level across the country were designedaccording to the level1B emission standard before the new norm putting into effect, theprocessing out of the water can hardly up to level of A standard. So upgrading to the sewagetreatment plants is around corner.The main content of this thesis is researching the alternative upgrading projects of GaoLin county sewage treatment plant. According to the inflowing water quality test results ofGao Lin county sewage treatment plant, determining its status quo of water quality, thefigures of status quo of the water for water quality are BOD5=320mg/L,COD=620mg/L,SS=364mg/L,NH3-N=100mg/L,TN=110mg/L,TP=13mg/L.The figuresof For water-quality status are BOD5=33mg/L、COD=60mg/L、SS=31mg/L、NH3-N=33mg/L、TN=40mg/L、TP=3.5mg/L.Last treat the figures of status quo of the water for water quality tobe the design value of water quality of Gao Lin county sewage treatment plant upgradingengineering. At the base of design value of rate of flow, considering the less of ground in theplant, and in the premise of ensuring effluent water quality standards reachs the standard,finally confirmed7500m3/d as the rate of flow of the upgrading engineering. And take theindex level1A standard stipulated in《urban sewage treatment plant pollutant dischargestandard》(GB18918-2002) as the effluent standard. At last referring to other domesticsuccessful cases of sewage treatment plant upgrading reconstruction project, proposetwo-stage A/O craft and Linpor-C/N craft as two alternative offer. Through compared the twoschemes with each other in technical and economic, total construction investment oftwo-stage A/O craft is1486.26ten thousand yuan, and the investment of Linpor-C/N craft is1906ten thousand yuan. Finally confirm the two-stage A/O craft as a recommended process.And the main treatment structures are put forward on the design choice of parameters.
