Energy crisis is currently one of the problems for human. Nuclear power as a kindof new energy plays an important role in the process of solving the problem of energycrisis. Laser inertial confinement fusion (ICF) which is known as "small artificial sun"due to its ability to provide safe, cleaning and small radioactive nuclear fusion energyis attentioned by many countries. Strong laser irradiated in target ball containingdeuterium tritium fuel in a certain space can make nuclear fusion happen, and producenuclear fusion. The target materials and inflatable ball microporous processing is thepremise of realizing laser fusion, polystyrene due to the nature of low density and lowatomic number has been made a target of choice, so micro hole processing technologywhich influent diagnosis gas filling and plugging glue process have become the key ofignition. So the research on laser processing technology for "Shen Guang Ш" targetmicroporous has important significance for laser fusion.In this thesis, corrosion mechanism of the interactions between Ultraviolet laserand polymer materials are summarized. UV laser absorption mechanism by polystyreneis analyzed, based on the previous light absorption physical model about interactionbetween ultraviolet laser and polystyrene. The changing of polystyrene chemicalstructure is analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) after the materialremovaling and oxidation process.The physical model of interaction between ultravioletlaser and polystyrene is verified.For "Shen Guang Ш" polystyrene target ball microporous processing, the methodthat the laser spot can be automaticly focused the highest point of target ball has beenproposed.Target ball microporous laser processing system is developed. Thecoordination control of hardware system (the experimental platform and the optical path)and the software system (real-time display, serial communication, motion control andautomatic focusing module) have been implemented. Therefore, the laser focused on thehighest of target ball uneder guaranting accuracy is realizing.Experiments of laser drilling in polystyrene plate have been done using single factoranalyzing method. The influence laws parameter (single pulse energy, pulse number andrepetition frequency) influenced on hole diameter and hole deepth are investigated. Thesignificant factors affecting micro hole diameter and hole deepth are abtained by the orthogonal experiment of target ball microporous laser processing. Response surfacebetween target pore size and the laser parameters is fitted by response surface method(RSM).Finally optimal process parameter of laser processing target ball microporous isgiven by RSM.Through analysing interaction physical model between ultraviolet laser andpolystyrene, target ball microporous laser processing systems developing, andpolystyrene target ball microporous processing experiment, thus, UV laser is avialiablefor target ball micro hole processing and provide technical support for laser fusionignition project.
