| The casting roller plays an extremely important role in castingprocess, which transfer heat from temperature drop and latent heat of crystallization,and will take on the influence of metal deformation resistance caused by somepressure reduction from solidifying billet. So studying on stress distribution rule andthe best interference quantity range of casting roller is very important. The mainresearch task of this paper is getting best interference quantity range of casting rolleraccording to the mechanical behavior analysis of casting roller design and workcondition.Through to structure parameters, strength, material properties and the reasonableloading to the casting roller, the stress distribution and change rule of the castingroller without load and maximum load. The methods are as follow: in the absence ofexternal load of the casting roller, the assembly stress of casting roller with thedifferent interference quantity using mathematical analytical method through the LatinAmerican formula respectively, then using the fourth strength theory of the materialmechanics to check, and then reasonable3d model is established by using ANSYSsoftware with contact finite element method, and the different interference quantity ofthe equivalent stress are calculated, after contrasting, interference quantity range isobtained preliminary. Under the max external load, the different interference quantityof the assembly stress and thermal stress are calculated by the mathematical analyticalmethod, using the material mechanics fourth strength theory to check. Thethermo-mechanical coupling analysis is conducted by ANSYS software, theequivalent stress under different interference quantity is obtained, after contrasting,the final interference quantity range is determined.Through the analysis, it is concluded that the stress value of the numericalanalysis is greater than that of mathematical analytical method, interference quantityobtained by using numerical simulation results of is more accurate. During the castingroller working, the equivalent stress value inside surface of the roller is greater thanthat of outside surface, and it could be better heat dissipation and keep roll type at themoment.Because the interference fit area, it is difficult to strain gages or use other waysmeasure the actual stress strain value directly, and there is great difficulty in doing the3d experiment. In the working area, stress state is complex, the existing relevantanalysis is mostly with mathematics analytic method and two dimensional simulation,which increase difficulty in selecting interference quantity properly. So the methodsproposed in this paper have general applicability in the interference assemblyequipment and parts, and has a certain value in engineering application. |
