Imidazole and thiazole derivatives are important nitrogen-containing heterocycliccomplexes, which can be used as bidentate or polydentate ligands to synthetisefunctional metal complexes with metal-salt. These metal complexes have good π-πconjugation and good donor character, so they have good application prospect inbiological activity, magnetism, catalysis, chemical sensors and light emitting materialsetc. In this paper, a series of Cu(Ⅰ) complexes、 Cd(Ⅱ)、 Ni(Ⅱ)、 Zn(Ⅱ) andMn(Ⅱ)complexes were synthesized. The crystal structures of their complexes werecharacterized by elemental analysis,1H NMR, X ray diffraction analyses, theirluminescent properties were studied by UV-vis spectra, fluorescence spectra, and thequantitative calculation and so on. The main works are as follows:1. Cu(Ⅰ) complexes:[CuL1(PPh32][BF4](1)、[CuL2(PPh32][BF4](2)、[Cu2(L3)2(PPh32][BF4]2(3) were synthesized with imidazole derivative (L1、L2、L3).The Cd (Ⅱ) complex (4) was synthesized with2-(2’-pyridyl) benzimidazole (L2).Cu (I) complexes maximum emission are mainly concentrated in the623-680nm. TheCd (Ⅱ) complex shows emission maxima in the blue region.2.2-(2-hydroxyphenyl) benzimidazole (L4) was synthesized with salicylic acidand o-diaminobenzene under the catalysis of poly phosphoric acid (PPA). Ni(Ⅱ)、Cd(Ⅱ)、Ni(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) complexes were synthesized with2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)benzimidazole (L4). The Ni(Ⅱ) complex (5) can be used as magnetic materials.3.2-(2-pyridyl) benzothiazole (L5) was synthesized with2-pyridine carboxylicacid and o-aminothiophenol under the catalysis of poly phosphoric acid (PPA). Cu(Ⅰ)(6)、 Cd(Ⅱ)、 Ni(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) complexes were synthesized with2-(2-pyridyl)benzothiazole (L5). Their luminescent properties were studied.
