Application And Research Of Pattern Making Technology Parameters In Collar Design

Collar is not only the central area of visual attention and the main part to createdistinctive style for designers, but also the focus of structure design for costume patterners. Inorder to disassemble costumes’ stereo model into reasonable plane structure, accuratelyapplying costume pattern technical parameters is significant content in collar design. However,costume pattern technical parameters are inseparably linked to human body structure.Therefore, based on the human body structure, this paper reveals a deep study about theapplication of these parameters in collar design through experiments and mathematicalanalysis concerning the comfort level, lapel width, stand collar width, lodging and splice pointof stand-up collar, flat collar and lapel; also the study tries to reveal the rules of the impacts ofaccurate application of these parameters on the ornamental value and comfort value of thecostumes. The establishment of the corresponding quantitative model makes the study from aquantitative level to qualitative level, providing a theoretical reference data for furtherexploration of the collar structure design. The study aims to provide a reference for patternersto develop ideas and work more accurate and fast and also provide help for them to innovateat work, accelerate the pattern production speed and improve produce efficiency.
