| In the field of chemical engineering and mechanical engineering, the pipeline is widely used in chemical plant construction and productive process, because it’s the main pathway to transport the raw material. However, in the actual working condition, the on-off of valves and the vibration transmission of the fluid machinery will force the pipeline in severe vibration, which would reduce the efficiency and cause the structure damage. Thus, the pipeline vibration control is very important. This paper is based on the above background, elaborate the cause of the pipeline vibration and common technique to reduce the vibration. Basing on the theory research, the finite element analysis software ANSYS is used to analyze a discharging pipeline of a plastic plant. A suggestion to reduce the vibration is made. The main results of this paper are listed as follows:1. A simple example is used to compare the results of pipeline analysis in ANSYS by using two different elements. The results show that the pipeline module in ANSYS can not only calculate rapidly and conveniently, also can get satisfactory results.2. Modal analysis, transient response analysis and steady-state response analysis of a discharge pipeline in a chemical plant are calculated. Combining with the measurement data of the vibration and pipeline operation process, the cause of the pipeline vibration is confirmed, that’s the pipeline free vibration caused by material impaction and pressure change because of the sudden on-off of valves.3. Researching the operating principle and rapid selection and design method of Hydraulic Damper and Tuned Mass Damper(TMD).A special type of TMD is designed for the target pipeline. The simulation and the measurement results of the pipeline with the damper show that the damper can reduce the pipeline vibration effectively. |
