| In this paper, the development process and the research status of the mediumfrequency resistance welding machine are presented. Meanwhile, the operation principlesof the medium frequency resistance welding machine are proposed. Compared to thetraditional welding machine, the proposed welding machine has been proved to showmore advantages. Finally, the significance and developing trends of the research areintroduced.As it is well known that, the output voltage on the secondary side of the mediumfrequency resistance welding machine is low, while the output current is very high,therefore, a three-phase with the pre-charge module controlled rectifier bridge and afull-bridge inverter circuit suitable for high-power output are adopted. At the same time,considering that the medium frequency resistance welding machine may appearover-voltage, over-current, over-heating and other anomalies, a protection circuit isdesigned to ensure the reliable operation of the resistance welding machine.In the design of the transformer, the choice for the core material, the overallstructure design and the coil winding mode are calculated and analyzed respectively.Besides, a dual-channel water cooling circulation system is designed to alleviate heatstress. Finally, the self-design transformer is proved to meet the design requirementscompletely.As for the resistance welding machine control system, the full figures of constantcurrent control is used in this article. The TMS320F28016chip made by TexasInstruments is used as the core of control circuit. In addition, the design process of theman-machine interface LCD display panel is also described.Actual test and experimental research are made on the experimental prototype,meanwhile, the performances of the drive circuits, transformers, control systems, andmachine welding are tested respectively. The experiments show that the proposedprototype is proved to have better performance and the expected design goals areachieved. |
