| The PVA is a kind of macromolecular organic compounds which is hard to be degradedby Conventional microbial. It is a good sizing material to be extensively used in chemicalindustry, textile industry, printing and dyeing industry and so on.Du to the poorbiodegradability of PVA, traditional biochemical process is difficult to achieve effluentdischarge requirements, especially in the COD removal efficiency, can not achieve theindicator requirements for effluent discharge. In order to effectively degrade PVA and furtherimprove its biodegradability, this article selected UV/Fenton oxidation method to theexperimental and theoretical studies of simulated wastewater containing PVA. More detaileddiscussion of the main factors for this approach role in the degradation of PVA and putfeasibility pretreatment of PVA wastewater through comparative analysis. The main subject of research and the results are as follows:To make sure the best operating condition improve PVA biodegradability by comparativeanalysis tne orthogonal test of UV/Fenton oxidation method and Fenton oxidation method.Qualitative analysis the treated PVA wastewater by changing a single influencing factorto study the variation of BOD5/COD and the COD removal efficiency in diffirent reactiontime, initial pH value, H2O2/COD,H2O2/Fe2+. And through visible spectrophotometerdetermination of the content of the treated water PVA explore the reasons for the formation ofits effect. To study the variation with time of initial pH value,H2O2/COD,H2O2/Fe2+,COD,BOD5/COD and PVA content in the treated water under the bestoperating condition. Investigate the oxidation mechanism and inferred intermediateThe result of the study shows. The UV/Fenton oxidation method got higher processingefficiency, and littler consumption of iron ion catalyst compared by the Fenton oxidationmethod. And its best operating condition to improve the biodegradability of PVAis:30minitreaction time,5initial pH value, H2O2/COD(by quality)=1:5,H2O2/Fe2+(by more)=10.By the qualitative analysis of influencing factors, UV/Fenton oxidation method candegrade most PVAinto CO2and H2O2,others are be degrade into the intermediate products ofsmaller molecules. The experiments through qualitative analysis, these intermediates includeorganic acids and aldehydes and ketones. |
