| Phase relations in the V-Si-Zr ternary system at973K and phase relations in the Nb-Si-Y ternary system at873K have been investigated by the means of powder X-ray diffraction technique, scanning electron microscope and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy technique.The isothermal section of V-Si-Zr ternary system at973K shows16single-phase regions,33two-phase regions and17three-phase regions.10binary compounds have been confirmed through our study:ZrSi2, ZrSi, Zr5Si4, Zr3Si2, Zr2Si, VSi2, V6Si5, V5Si3, V3Si and V2Zr; One ternary compound VSiZr were confirmed, two ternary compounds V3Si4Zr2and V17Si12Zr3were found; The V3Si4Zr2belonged to be the tetragonal Zr5Si4-type and V17Si12Zr3belonged to be the hexagon Mn5Si3-type.The isothermal section of Nb-Si-Y ternary system at873K shows10single-phase regions,12two-phase regions and8three-phase regions.7binary compounds have been confirmed through our study:Nb5Si3, NbSi2, YSi2, Y3Si5, YSi, Y5Si4and Y5Si3; we found the Y5Si4belonged to be the orthorhombic GdsSi4-type; No ternary compound were confirmed, and it was also confirmed that none of the phases in this system revealed remarkable homogeneity range at873K. |
