In this paper, according to the anti-swelling and anti-transport mechanism of clay,34kinds of small cationic clay stabilizers with different structures and different groups were synthesized, selected5kinds of clay stabilizers on sale as the contrastive sample. Using reservoir core and clay to evaluate the anti-swelling behavior and stability performance of the products. Their structures were characterized by advanced technologies, thus selected the clay stabilizers which can effectively reduce the damage to the oil caused by clay swelling and particle migration. It will enhance the crude oil recovery. The major work and access to the conclusions include the following.Straight-chain2, straight-chain3, ring5, ring9, polymer3and polymer8have achieved excellent effects. After flushing3times, the swell rate of the products which are synthesized is lower than the product851over20%. The optimum levels for composite organic:inorganic is1:8, after mixing organic and inorganic salt,the the swell rate of the synthetical products is lower than the product on sale over10%.Using light transmittance methods to test the fungicide-treated clay which have the disperse phase tendency. Clay that has been treated with water is impenetrable by light. The synthetical products are visible-transparent. Ring9. polymer3, polymer4and polymer8have achieved Non-dispersed system effects.Measuring the surface tension and contact angle of the products, those which have inflection point and the contact antenna are over38°can probably increase wetting reverse effectives of the clay. They are not suited for clay stabilizers. All the products that have been recommended can be supplied a small-angle.According to X-ray Diffraction pattern, all of the small molecular organic compounds can keep lattice spacing a certain value and the crystal form is integrity. Agentia has different effect on different kinds of clay.The core evaluation indicated that different kind of agentia has different effect on core. According to X-ray Diffraction pattern, the anti-swelling effect is out only depends on clay. but also related to other unexpansion agentsSEM examination showed that the clay treated with agents has higher grain growth and regularity.Thermogravimetic analysis indicated that the clay treated with BCS-851product contains bound water and free water. The clay after polymer3treated contains little free water and hardly any bound water.
