The laser solid solution and laser alloying synchronous hybrid strengthening treatment is proposed. Because the surface properties and the overall strength of the17-4PH stainless steel cannot be achieved at the same time by the traditional method. The solid solution laser and the alloying laser need different processing parameters in the processing of the laser solid solution and laser alloying synchronous hybrid strengthening treatment.The ANSYS software was utilized, and the finite element model was established to simulate the temperature field of the laser solid solution and laser alloying synchronous hybrid strengthening in this paper. The influences of the size of laser spot, power and the spot spacing on the temperature field were studied. The impact of laser power and scanning speed of double beam synchronous hybrid strengthening on temperature field was studied by numerical simulation, the experiment that verifying the numerical simulation is also studied. Based on the numerical simulation results, the optical model of split and focus laser beam for laser solid solution and laser alloying synchronous hybrid strengthening was designed.The conclusions can be obtained as followed:(1) The result of numerical simulation shows that when the surface of the substrate is not melted and the scanning speed keep400mm/min, with the increases of the solid solution spot size and laser power at the same time, the depth of the solid solution increases. After the solid solution spot increased8mm×10mm, the increasing rate of the solution depth with the increases of the spot size significantly reduced.(2) Under a certain laser parameters, the closer of the spot spacing, the higher temperature of the alloying zone. With the spot spacing be increased, the influence of the solid solution spot on alloying spot is reduced. When the spot spacing is more than50mm, the laser solid solution spot has almost no impact on laser alloying spot.(3) A nearly0.2mm alloyed layer was formed though the laser solid solution and laser alloying synchronous hybrid strengthening technique under the conditions of the size of the laser solid solution spot is2mm X8mm, the size of laser alloying is8mm X2mm, and the processing parameters of laser solid solution power is800W, laser alloying power is1800W, the scanning speed is400mm/min. And the average microhardness of the laser alloyed layer is above600HV0.2.The research of this paper provide theoretical supports for the optical system for split and focus beam used in laser solid solution and laser alloying synchronous hybrid strengthening. It also provides the technical supports to the industrialization of the dual beam laser synchronous hybrid strengthening.
