| open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OTCEC) and monolith capillaryelectrochromatography with thiolated β-CD modified gold nanoparticles (CD-GNP) as thestationary phase was developed. The enantioselective OT capillary column was fabricated byelectrostatic assembly of poly(diallydimethylammonium chloride)(PDDA) followed byself-adsorption of negatively charged CD-GNPs,and the monolithic column was achievedby covalently bonding CD-GNPs onto the surface of thiolated porous polymermonolithic column. The enantioselective OT capillary column has a steady EOF mobility overa wide pH range of3.0to9.2(RSD4.8%) and the monolithic column exhibited steady EOFmobility over pH values ranging from4.6to9.7. Additionally, the column was stable underCEC separation conditions over240min for OT and180min for monolith. Moreover, thecolumn exhibited good column-to-column reproducibility. Efficient enantioseparation of thepresented method was demonstrated by analyzing three drug enantiomers. Our results showthat the column exhibits good run-to-run repeatability for enantioseparations and can maintainthe enantioselectivity for more than1month if the column was stored in CD-GNPs solution at4C. |
