In this paper, one unreported hybrid compound have been synthesized by utilizingthe [H2W12O40]6-(W12) clusters as building blocks, and transition metal ion andorganic ligand2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid as linker. Under hydrothermal synthesiscondition, we have synthesized one unreported hybrid compound, and structurallycharacterized by single crystal X-ray diffractions and elemental analyses, IR,TG. Thephotoluminescence properties of the compound1have been studied.By using the W12 clusters as building blocks, with the transition metal silver ionsand organic ligand pyrazine-2,3-dicarboxylic as racation materials to synthesize a newcompound. Under the hydrothermal synthesis condition, pyrazine-2,3-dicarboxylicacid can be decomposed into2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid, the2-pyrazinecarboxylic acidas a organic ligand reactioned with the W12 clusters and metal silver ions,a newcompound have been synthesized and characterized:[Ag6(H2O)6(L)4(W)(H2W12O40)] H2O(1)(L=2-pyrazinecarboxylate)In compound1,one W12 clusters links sixteen silver ions, representing thehighest connection number of the W12 clusters. There are three crystallographicallyunique silver cations, which have different coordination geometries, the ligand adoptsbidentate delate and single bridge coordination fashion to connect silver ions andtungsten ions,resulting2D lays, all the W12 clusters are interlinked by silver ions, forming a3D arrangement through O-Ag-O bridging bonds.
