Over half a century,polyurethane(PU) elastomer having excellent comprehensive properties such as a wide range of hardness,high strength, abrasion resistance,a wide range of adjustable features and so on has been widely applied in all aspects of national economy and has been one of the materials in steadily growth.However,the high internal heat and the poor solvent resistance have been the restriction to enlarge extensive application of PUE. In resent years,inorganic and organic nano-filler reinforced polyurethane to prepare nanocomposites has attracted much attention.Compared with ordinary PUE,the composites often exhibited remarkable improvements in mechanical properties,heat resistance.As a kind of layer silicate mineral,attapulgite(AT) that has the special crystal structure lately attracted much interests due to its wide variety of sources,low prices and superior performance,so the AT has been a broad prospect as a filler to modify the property of PU elastomer.However, up to now there are few works have been done on the PU elastomer modified by organic modified attapulgite.In this thesis,we study the synthesis of polyurethance elastomers,the preparation of organic modified attapulgite/polyurethane nanocomposites,the structure and the performance of the nanocomposites were reprensented.This research is as follows:1、The preparation of pure polyurethane(PU) elastomer.A series of polyurethane (PU) elastomers were synthesized with polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMG) and2,4-toluene diisocyanate (TDI).The mechanical properties were studied according to the change of the content of-NCO in prepolymer, the molecular weight of PTMG, the stoichiometry and the kind of chain extender and so on.The results showed that the mechanical properties of the polyurethane elastomer varied with the change of the parameter.2、The performance study of organic modified attapulgite/polyurethane nanocomposites.The attapulgite was modified with silane coupling agent KH550. A series of the organic modified attapulgite/polyurethane nanocomposites were synthesized with different contents of organic modified attapulgite, polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMG1000),2,4-toluene diisocyanate (TDI),3,3-dichloro-4,4-diamino diphenyl methane (MOCA) by the intercalative polymerization method.The microstructure of the modified attapulgite and nanocomposites were studied through FTIR、SEM and TGA.The mechanical properties,the thermal stability and the solvent resistance of the composite were tested.The results revealed that:with the increase of the contents of the modified attapulgite, the mechanical properties,the resistance of air aging properties,the thermal stability of the composite improved and the water resistance decreased. When the amout was higher than2wt%,the reunion phennmenon emerged in the composite.After comprehensive studying,the comprehensive properties of the nanocomposite with2wt%OAT were the best.
