Metallic glass existence unique and excellent property, but the metallic glass size limit it practical application of engineering, researchers use the metallic glass welding technology to solve this problem. Ultrasonic welding technology is a kind of method which is using the pressure on the workpiece material and the high frequency vibration to achieve solid connection. The content of this study is to achieve ultrasonic welding of metallic glass with amorphous alloy, expanding the three-dimensional size and property characteristics of the metallic glass.This article adopts the method of ultrasonic welding for aluminum alloy6061and Cu4oZr44Ag8Al8metallic glass foils, aluminum alloy6061and Fe78Si9B13metallic glass foils for experiment research. Experimental means using microscopic hardness test, tensile shear strength test, metallographic microscope (OM), SEM, X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and energy spectrum analysis (EDS) etc. Various experimental methods to analyze the aluminum alloy and metallic glass ultrasonic welding joint organization structure, the interface behavior, the influence of welding parameters on mechanical properties of welded joint, and briefly expounds the forming mechanism of the aluminum alloy and the metallic glass ultrasonic welding. And based on the results we do the experiments of ultrasonic welding of the copper and the Cu40Zr44Ag8Al8metallic glass foils, and studied the microstructure of welding joint, interfacial behavior, the influence of welding parameters on mechanical properties.Results show that when the process parameters of aluminum alloy6061and Cu40Zr44Ag8Al8metallic glass is50ms for the welding time and welding pressure0.5Mpa, the technological parameters of6061aluminum alloy and Fe78Si9B13metallic glass is100ms for the welding time and welding pressure is0.4Mpa, when the technological parameters of alloy of copper and the Cu40Zr44Ag8Al8metallic glass is40ms for the welding time and the welding pressure is0.4Mpa, through metallographic and SEM scanning pictures we find that aluminum alloy/metallic glass ultrasonic welding joint has no welding defects such as cracks, porosity, welding interface level off, without a jagged mechanical Mosaic, and welded joint found no apparent contrast. Through the EDS analysis between the crystal and metallic glass we can see the obvious element diffusion, and the formation of a diffusion layer of a few microns. By XRD diffraction analysis shows that there is no crystallization happens in ultrasonic welding process of metallic glass, after welding it remains amorphous, using ultrasonic welding method can realize the connection of crystal and metallic glass. |
