There are some drawing triangle cups in industry and our lives, but they are non axisymmetri and have more deformation difficult than the cylindrical and quadrilateral cups, and there is no data can be used for drawing triangle cup’s design. In order to seek usefull methods for production of drawing triangle cup, compared to the study of squaral cups drawing, this paper provided a preliminary study.(1) Introducing a variable η, η is a degree variable of R to Rmax·η was valued of0.1~0.7. Studying on the drawing triangle cup and rectangular cup, through parametric modeling and numerical simulation, this paper conclused that when η close to0.4, the forming limit depth of the two cups can achieve the maximum.(2) By changing the fillet of the triangle cup drawing die, the shape of the blank and thickness of the blank, in this paper, the material’s flow pattern and formability of the drawing triangle cup were analyzed and summarized. By gridding on the actual test specimens, this paper proved the validity of the numerical simulation and sorted of the fillets of triangle cup die, the shape of the blank and thickness of the blank according to the influence size degree.(3) Using numerical simulation software DYNAFORM, this paper has worked on the preliminary study on the twice drawing of the triangular cup. By comparing with the results of the once drawing triangle cup, this paper reached a conclusion that the twice drawing of the triangular cup changed the ares of material accumulation from the straight and fillet joint to the corner and the middlepoint of straight edge. The flow direction and characteristics of the blank had great changes in the twice drawing of the triangular cup.Research results of this paper had a certain reference value to the development of the non axisymmetric parts drawing and provided a practical and available technical resources to the drawing triangle cup die in rapid design and production.
