Free flow electrophoresis (FFE) was a kind of analytical and preparative technology withthe special advantages of continuous separation, requiring mild conditions, and no solidmedium. This technology had been applied in the fields of biochemistry and chemistry toseparate cells, organelles, proteins, peptides, inorganic compounds, etc.At present, the conventional preparation FFE device was mostly rectangular, sampleswere separated by fluid dynamic principle and electro-migration phenomenon. In the first partof this thesis, a traditional rectangle device and a new triangular device were designed.Meanwhile we successfully simulate and optimize the electric field and the shape of thedevice based on theory.The second part of this study was to develop a novel triangular-shape FFE device for thepurpose of preparative purification,in which buffer was not used with the aim of decreasingrunning cost of the device compared to traditional rectangular-shape device. Methylene blueand neutral red were chosen to manifest the feasibility of the device.In the third part, noble metallic solution were separated by both devices bsed on theirdifferent nature. Traditional rectangle-shape device could reduce the copper and zinc contentsof Shangdong noble metallic solution to51.46%and58.87%, respectively, when U=70V andv=1.0ml/min. The contents of copper and zinc could be reduced to52.77%and53.94%afterthe disposal of triangular-shape device when U=70V、v=1.0mL/min and third and fourthelectrode chamber were in series with500and1000respectively. Thus, thetriangular-shape device could reach the similar separation effect with traditionalrectangle-shape device. Field-amplified effect was also used in this paper.The results showthat the trangular FFE device was feasible and had important significance for the perfect goldsmelting process.The device for its large quantities of sample pretreatment on the industrialexperiments laid the theoretical and experimental basis.
