Periodic structure of circuit screen is a kind of array composed by periodic metalarray. It turned out to be a specific electromagnetic scatterer. Because of its frequencyselective behavior, they are widely used in some fields, such as electromagneticcompatible, radiation protection, antenna reflectors and stealth technology. Based on thecomprehensive analysis of theory about numerical computation for periodic structures,paper provides the method of circuit module verification and the numerical algorithmdesign for transmission line equivalent circuit model. Considering the needs of periodicstructure simulation technology, the software design was completed. The mainconclusions are as follows:The detail of periodic structure approximate analysis method of equivalent circuitmodel is given. With introducing the theory of equivalent circuit model, equivalenttransmission line circuit model for multi-layer periodic structures is derived. The choiceof the basis function and weight function is given by introducing the exact numericalmethod-moment of method. The model algorithm is completed by using Matlab.According to the established model, the3D modeling and simulation is realized byusing HFSS.With using the algorithm of transmission line equivalent model, different Clanguage algorithm library for periodic structures are designed according to differentequivalent circuit models. Python C algorithm library is realizing by extending Pythonwith C/C++.Electromagnetic software for periodic structures is designed by using Python andits extending librarys. The models of GUI, data and graphics processing are designed byuising TraitUI, Numpy and Matplotlib library. Software cross-platform application isrealized by using py2exe library. The results obtained by the circuit theory model are incomplete agreement with the HFSS simulations and the experimental results.
