Laser Remanufacturing is technology of using advanced laser surface treatmenttechnology to repair and improved the failed parts in order to restore the partsperformance. Finally, the failed part will be remanufactured, which the performancemaybe beyond the new one.The function of test system and the working mechanism of the platform areanalyzed according to the research objectives and the actual situation. A test system ofLaser remanufacturing is made for Rotary Parts.500W all-solid-state lasers (IS-500CBOO) made of Chinese Academy of Sciences is applied.First, a preliminary laser quenching process is designed basing on the results ofother research. The result of experiment is observed by the microscope and tested bythe micro hardness tester. Orthogonal experimental design is used after a good groupof process parameters is gained. Then the ideal combination of various processparameters is gotten through Orthogonal experimental design in order to complete thestudy of45#steel quenching process on the X-Y platform.The preset coating method is adopted on the self-designed test platform. Severalpowder coating microstructure and micro hardness are compared and analyzed. Andthe ideal cladding process parameters are obtained. Researching the microstructureand properties of the cladding layer by using different laser scanning angle to find thebest angle. And the method of the thick cladding layer will be put forward.Finally,the machining performance of the cylinder part is tested after a largesurface laser cladding. Its parameter is ideal cladding process parameters. Meanwhileprofiling ability of the platform is tested.The following conclusion is found after study.1.Process parameter: Laser power P=143W, Scanning rate: V=6mm/s,Scan pathspacing: S=0.1mm,Relative defocus: L=26mm. It can accomplish the massivequenching of45#steel, and get good hardening layer.2.The best process parameter is P=358W, V=2mm/s, L=138mm,when preset coatingof cylinder is taken basing on the powder of homemade Iron-base alloy powder.3.Large surface laser cladding can be done when the single-channel laser claddinglayer has good effect and the scan angleα=0.2°or0.4°. 4.Method of multilayer laser cladding is applied when the laser power is low but toproduce thick cladding layer.5.The spindle can be processed after laser cladding. It meets the remanufacturingprocess requirements6.The test system can be used for the Laser Remanufacturing of rotator part.
