With the development of manufacturing, steel production for welding reachedhalf of the total output of steel,in order to improve production efficiency, reduce thelabor intensity and ensure the welding quality.Welding automation has become thetendency of welding technology. the adoption of welding robots is already more andmore extensive in the actual production.In the essay, through the research of seamtracking precision on the welding of swing C02,it has important guidance significancefor the development of welding technology and the application of actual production.Firstly, built seam tracking system platform of swing arc sensor, introduced thestructure of the whole tracking system, respectively described the swing arc sensor、the robot system、welding system and control system. in the positoning of swing arc,two inductive proximity switches was used as the swing arc location positioningdevice, ensured the arc swing signal with the sampling signal synchronization,achieved the precise positioning of the swing welding arc.Secondly, traditional mathematical model for arc scanning was set up, thewelding groove shape changes caused by the deposited molten iron and other factorswere always ignored,these factors has caused the serious interference to the weldingcurrent and lower seam tracking precision. In regards to these conditions,taked the Vgroove of C02welding for example, a new modeling idea of regarding the scanningsystem simulation model for the welding of swing C02was set up through MATLAB,analyzed the welding current of simulated system,and then compared the simulationresults of this model simulation results with the results of traditional model,as well asthe actual welding current waveform, The results of experiment showed thatsimulated model in the essay was higher reliability.Thirdly, analyzed the existing seam tracking algorithm, based on the most widelyused integral difference method, comparison method of half cycle weighted integraland removing extreme value was used as a new method in sem tracking.In order toreduced interference effect on welding current of the deposited metal,samplinginterval of welding current signal was determined,current sampling data wereweighted correction by introducing adjustment factor.The effectiveness of comparisonmethod of half cycle weighted integral and removing extreme value to extract theeffective weld deviation was verificated through the analysis of experiment. Finally,elaborated the concept of seam tracking precision, the seam trackingprecision evaluation system was established by employing the weld cross sectiontriangle barycenter method.and verificated the effectiveness of seam trackingprecision evaluation system through the experiment.evaluated seam tracking precisionof the mathematical model in the essay and the traditional model by the evaluationsystem,and analyzed the two evaluation results, The result of experiment showed thatthe mathematical model in the essay using comparison method of half cycle weightedintegral and removing extreme value to extract the effective weld deviation has higherseam tracking precision and meets the requirements.
