The paper starts from the Inner Mongolia Ordos women’s clothing, to examine the Mongolian clothing environment from traditional women’ sclothing production process within a small range. Besides, the paper studies the following perspectives:studying the Ordos Mongolian women clothing production process in the field, restoring traditional appearance of women’s clothing, and discussing aspects of its heritage value.The paper studies the Ordos Mongolian women’s clothing at the same range with apparel folk activities, and which is considered to be understood as a merging of the culture. In the old days, the certain study had been focused on the design and production; however, the author tends to study the clothing fromthe perspectives of art and aesthetics, and describes the shape, economic operation and aesthetic value of the Ordos Mongolian women’s clothing. The author aims to explore aesthetic function, cultural function and social function of the Ordos Mongolian women’s clothing. Through the paper, the author tries to find a better way to protect and heir the Ordos Mongolian traditional clothing in modern life.
