In welding, petrochemical and environmental protection fields, plasma arc is a kind of common heat source with high efficiency. But currently producing plasma arc approach is still in the state of gas for the medium conditions, Compared with gas, the study of water or other liquid medium is limited. Submerged plasma arc discharge is developing in recent years as a new topic, If this technology can be applied in the field of environmental protection, then the secondary pollution phenomenon will be avoided, Therefore this kind of new type arc discharge technique has a very practical research significance.This thesis sets up a submerged arc plasma reaction experiment system, in the experimental process observing and recording morphological change of electric arc under different current situations by digital camera. Concluded that when current density increases to a certain extent, the arc’s shape is better, brighter, more stable.Arc discharge was collected based on the audio spectrum waveform diagram carrying on the thorough analysis to the whole process of arc discharge, including waveform graph analysis, spectrum analysis and using mathematical statistics method to analyze the stability of arc discharge under different current situation.In this thesis, collecting discharge based on the experimental waveforms, arc discharge was collected by audio spectrum waveform diagram carrying on the thorough analysis to the whole process of arc discharge, including wave time-domain analysis, phase volt-ampere characteristic analysis and spectrum analysis, and using the mathematical statistical method to evaluate the stability of arc discharge.The plasma arc three-dimensional geometric model is established by using fluid dynamics analysis software CFD ACE+. With the help of the software also analyzes the arc temperature distribution under different power supply current situation. The results show that with the increase of power supply current, arc center temperature increased.In this thesis, theoretical research and experiment data provide the theoretical guidance to the submerged plasma arc, also have corresponding reference to further improvement and optimize arc reaction equipment system.
