The thermal deformation generated by temperature on objects is inevitable in daily life, especially in recent decades, with the accuracy of the machining and measuring continuous increasing, the thermal deformation errors occupy a more and more proportion in the total composite error of machining and measuring. At present, most research on the thermal deformation error depend on the similarity of thermal deformation, which do not consider of the influence from form factors to the thermal deformation.In the paper,the main work is studying the non-similarity characteristics on the thermal deformation of bearing holes and cuboid test-piece. The specific work is shown as follows:(1) First, the research significance of the paper is introduced. Then, the study history and problems existing of thermal deformation, the main studying contents and the mechanism of thermal deformation is shown in the paper.(2) Measures the thermal deformation of the cuboid test-piece, finds the salient feature of the test-piece when it is deformed in the temperature field. After the thermal deformation occurred, its shape changed, its surface is plumped up, and does not be similar with its quondam shape. Gets a model of the constraining force on the surface after analyses the result of the test.(3) Measures the thermal deformation of bearing holes on the gearbox shell, disposes the data by using least square fitting, and gets the migration path of bearing holes center.(4) Makes simulated analysis with gearing holes by using a new model, translates the thermal analysis to statics analysis.verifies the feasibility of the method.
