The gear is the important drive basic parts of machinery industry and the hobbing method is widely used in gear processing. Although most of the domestic gear manufacturing has been using CNC machining, the NC machine tool production efficiency is low, mainly because of the production of technological parameter system has not formed, the processing parameters are selected by the workers depend on their experience, which cannot form a more standardized processing technology, the gear CNC processing generally adopted manual programming. Therefore proposed the parameterized automatic programming techniques based on hobbing CNC machining process database can be a good solution to this problem. Aiming at the realization of parameterized automatic programming of CNC gear hobbing machining required to in-depth research of process database and its support, and development of a hobbing machining process database. Preliminary realized CNC gear hobbing machining parameterized automatic programming. Namely input gear parameters and hob parameters in a friendly man-machine interface can automatically call the appropriate cutting parameters in the back-end database and automatically generate the machining program.1. Based on comprehensive analysis of some basic concepts of database, design process and the system need to have the function as a support parameterized automatic programming software, the overall design of hobbing NC machining process database, preliminary determined the main functions required of the system.2. Analysis and compares the characteristics of four kinds of different data sources, and according to the characteristics of process data of the system to determine the need for development of the database for discrete database.3. Comprehensive compared the four kinds of embedded database management system, select SQLite as an embedded DBMS, compile SQLite source code to generate dynamic link library files in the hardware platform, and copy it to the hardware platform to complete the database transplantation.4. A detailed analysis of the specific needs of database, divides the function modules of the database. The conceptual structure design, logical structure design and physical design of the database, using Navicat for SQLite software to create the data table, establish the relationship between the data tables then input data, get the database file as.db.5. Using EVC as database front-end development tool, developed the database login interface, query interface and management maintenance interface, and briefly discussed the cutting dosage choice theory of gear hobbing machining in the realization process of support function of Database. Because involves the security of database, the database set up different access permissions, different access permissions to users with different permissions for the database.
