All Petroleum Production countries attach importance to the study of residual oil and enhanced residual oil recovery. WaCun oil province is an early block of YanChang Oil field, with an area of1.65Km2, reservation of95.535×104t, and recovery degree of11.7%. After a long period of prduction, the strongly depletion of formation energy seriously restricted the efficiency of producing of the oil region. Thus it is necessary to do the reseach on enhanced oil recoverytechniques.This article focused on the WaCun area of YanChang oilfield, especially the improving oil recovery. In order to find out clay content and sensitivity of the reservoir, analysis pore structure, fluid mobility, seepage degree, the seepage rule of two phase of oil and water as well as oil displacement efficiency, the evaluation study of reservoir, which is now mainly produced, was firstly accomplished. And then recoverable reserves and development potential of the oil were determined. Secondly, reservoir engineering calculation was made on the basis of the evaluation results. That is, evaluated the efficiency of waterflooding methods under the precent reservoir proporties; simulating and predicting the following sensitive effects, development pattern and corresponding result of reservoir with Eclipse software and finally indentified detailed programme of Wacun block development, within which oil well conversed sewage in the northern part and infilling drilling in the southern.
