Underbalanced drilling is entitled under balance drilling, started from20th-century the fifty.Presently, the application of underbalanced drilling has been yearly increasing at home and abroad. The mud,the bottom hole, the circulating system of underbalanced drilling is elaborated and controled efficiently.Otherwise pressure difference is more,it will result in complicated borehole. If less, underbalanced drilling’s performance couldn’t be gotten. The correlation theory and applied research of underbalanced drilling has already become one of highlight study of drilling engineers. The correlation theory of underbalanced drilling has been studied deeply in this paper. It includes the advantages of underbalanced drilling and the practical reservoir condition. In the foundation of the widely survey of underbalanced drilling technique home and broad.Associated with the reservoir geology, the drilling outfit and technique condition etc. in the Northeast Sichuan.Taking the underbalanced drilling technique to resolve the engineering problems in the Northeast Sichuan. In order to shortening the consruction circle, decreasing the exploration cost, raising the drilling speed and protecting the hydrocarbon reservior etc.And applying the result of reserch to the well drilling process in Northeast Sichuan and guilding the field process.Main performances of this paper as follow:(1)Through the theory reserch and field process, taking the underbalanced drilling technique to resolve the engineering problems in the Northeast Sichuan.(2)Forming a set of systematical technique of underbalanced drilling and device type.(3)Applying the result of reserch to the well drilling process in Northeast Sichuan and guilding the field process.
