In recent years, with the rapid growth of steel production, energy consumption ofthe steel industry is also increase substantially. The sintering process has the problemin high energy consumption, pollutant discharge and so on. Sintering energyconsumption are mainly distributed in sintering and cooling process, but the wasteheat utilization of sintering process is low. This paper based on the thermal physicalproperties of the sinter mixture and chemical reaction kinetics properties study,numerical analysis was carried on the sintered material layer combustion process,thecalculation results are in good agreement with those obtained with the field measureddata. The results provide the basis for sintering process modeling and optimal control,provide important practical significance for the energy conservation and emissionsreduction technology.The following are several aspects of a detailed study on the above problem.First of all, in this paper simultaneous thermal analysis instrument is used to test thespecific heat of sintering mixture, compared with the standard substance of DSCcurve, concluded the specific heat of sintering mixture, and then analyzed the mixtureof the different particle size, the different temperature rise rate and the different airflow that can influence the specific heat. In the whole sintering process, divide thesintering material layer, and analysis the physical and chemical changes in the heatand mass transfer.Second, in view to the solid fuel combustion process in the sintering mixture, basedon the reaction kinetics model and thermogravimetric experimental data, determinedthe chemical reaction kinetics parameters. Then by the fuel conversion can analysisthe strict control of sintering solid fuel particle size, the method can reduce the solidfuel consumption; At the same time consider the oxygen-enriched sintering model insintering process, by controlling the change of oxygen concentration, can reduce solidfuel consumptionThird, in the numerical simulation process of sintering bed combustion, firstlyanalysis the internal combustion model, including coke combustion model, thelimestone decomposition model and moisture and condensation model. Using thechemical reaction kinetics parameters and the thermal physical parametersexperimented by thermogravimetric experimental., analysis the sintering mixture combustion temperature distribution inside the bed and flue gas, the sinteringtemperature and pressure distribution of raw material layer and material layer iscompared with the data in the steel maker, The results of calculation are conformableto the data from the steel maker.
